Product Upgrade
Innovation and design is what we do best, and we are excited to announce that we are upgrading the design of Smart Bulb and Peditrol.
The same irrigation devices for ureteroscopy you know with the addition of a push/pull sealing connector also known as haemostatic valve or Tuohy Borst adapter at no extra cost.
The sealing connector is designed to resist backflow of fluid around the instrument such as laser fiber when inserted through the working channel of a ureteroscope or cystoscope.
The sealing connector is attached at the end of the In-Flow Switch with blue slider. Smart Bulb and Peditrol function in the same way, but to use, you will now connect the sealing connector with its male Luer lock onto the ureteroscope.
The sealing connector is operated by a push / pull mechanism.
To open the sealing connector and insert instrument, push it in towards the male Luer lock.
Insert instrument to desired depth.
To close the sealing connector, pull it outwards to activate the seal.
Slight adjustment of the instrument is still possible with the seal closed
