Several years in the making, we are proud to announce that our novel ureteric access sheath (UAS) will be making its world debut at the European Urological Congress in Amsterdam this year. More than an access sheath, Syphon doubles drainage and halves intrarenal pressure.
The key feature of our novel UAS is the incorporation of a syphon mechanism at the inlet of the sheath. A siphon (from Ancient Greek, also spelled syphon) refers particularly to a tube in an inverted ‘U’-shape, which causes fluid to flow upward, above the surface of a reservoir, with no pump, but powered by the flow through the tube with the pull of gravity.
